TERMS AND CONDITIONS
INTRODUCTION
By booking a class, studio session or 1:1 with Gee Pilates either through online booking or by cheque or cash, you are agreeing to the terms and conditions as set below.
We hope you will enjoy and benefit from your Pilates classes. The terms and conditions below are set out to help you do this and safeguard our classes.
By booking a class you will receive from me
• A relaxed friendly atmosphere where you are welcome to ask questions.
• A fully qualified teacher who attends regular updates through professional development.
• Small class sizes.
• The benefit of a make up class if taken before the term/block finishes.
FULL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Payments, cancellations and Refunds
Bookings made through our Gymcatch Scheduling site are final, no refunds or exchanges can be given, so please be sure of your purchase.
Mat classes are usually sold in blocks of 6 classes although blocks can be slightly shorter. Your place in a class is only guaranteed when you book the whole block. Payment is due by the first session in the block.
Group reformer, duets and 1:2:1s are booked on a pay as you go basis (PAYG) and are also bookable via Gymcatch.
Payment can be made via Gymcatch using stripe payments or you have the option to pay via BACS or cash. Cheques are acceptable however please try and pay by the other three methods.
Mat Class Cancellation Policy
Cancellations are made via Gymcatch and to receive a class credit, cancellations must be at least 24 hours before the class starts. YOU MUST cancel your booking to receive the credit. If you cancel in good time and do not receive a credit please contact Gee.
Mat class credits must be used before the end of the term and cannot be carried over to the next block.
You can use your credit to
• Book onto another class subject to space.
• Book onto a online class
• Offset against a reformer session or 1:2:1. Please note these cannot be booked online and must be done through Gee.
Studio Appointment Cancellation Policy
You can cancel all types of studio appointments up to 24hrs before the appointment and not be charged. After 24hrs you will be charged for the session.
NEW CLIENTS
New clients must contact Gee first before booking classes. All new clients are required to complete a health questionnaire first. This can be sent via email or down loaded via Gymcatch. New clients who have never done Pilates before will be required to book an initial 1:2:1 appointment.
EQUIPMENT AND WHAT TO BRING
To maintain hygiene standards during COVID, we ask all mat class clients to bring the following equipment to class
• Mat preferably a thick non-slip mat designed for Pilates. Yoga mats can be too thin.
• Soft over ball approx. 23-25cms.
• Theraband
• Head pad or hand towel.
All other small equipment will be provided by Gee but you are free to purchase your own
• Pilates ring
• Small hand weights 0.5kgs to 2kgs
• Foam roller.
• Yoga block.
Studio clients are not required to bring anything however they are welcome to bring along a mat, head or purchase their own reformer straps. Gee can advise on this.
CLASSES
All classes are scheduled for 60 mins or as otherwise stated on the online booking system. The classes will take place at the times and on the dates set out on our schedule on our website and online booking system. We reserve the right to change our timetable and scheduled classes and will provide you with as much notice as possible of this.
Please arrive at least 5 minutes before class starts. Wear light but not baggy clothing and all clients must wear non-slip socks. Please make sure you take care of your belongings and if you leave something behind please do inform me as soon as possible. Gee Pilates cannot be held responsible for missing or stolen property.
For classes held at the studio, be sure to enter via the side gate. Please respect our neighbors by entering and leaving quietly and avoid stopping on the shared driveway.
LIABILITY RELEASE
• I understand that my teacher is a qualified and insured mat and Pilates studio teacher.
• I understand that Gee Pilates Hadleigh is in no way responsible for the safekeeping of my personal belongs whilst I attend class.
• I will tell the teacher of anything, painful/unusual I experience in the class or between classes.
• I understand my teacher may offer me professional advice relating to my ability to exercise and she may consider it unprofessional to continue to teach me if I not wish to follow her advice.
• I will keep my teacher updates on any changes to my medical condition.
• I understand that all exercise carries risk and I voluntarily participate in Gee Pilates classes and studio sessions with full knowledge that there is risk of personal injury, property loss or death. I agree that neither I, my heirs, assigns or legal representatives will sue or make claims of any kind whatsoever against Gee Pilates Hadleigh or its members for any personal injury, property damage/loss, or wrongful death, whether caused by negligence or otherwise.
• If you are struggling with anything in class, have any problems or concerns, do please let us know as soon as you can and I will do my best to help.
• I understand Gee Pilates will not be held responsible or liable for any injury or harm I sustain as a result of using live online or pre-recorded videos.
• Pregnancy – Please let us know as soon as possible so alternative exercises, which may be more appropriate for you in class.
PRIVACY
• I will use information provided in the enrolment form, and any other information I may later collect, for teaching and communication purposes only.
• This information will be used in confidence and stored securely and will not under any circumstances be shared with a third party without your consent.
• I will retain your information for a period of time such as complies with professional, legal and insurance requirements.
• You may unsubscribe from e-mails at anytime.
COVID POLICY
Gee Pilates is a Covid vaccine supporting organization and we request that you are vaccinated at least twice against Covid and have had or are planning to have boosters to protect other people as well as yourself against spreading Covid as easily as the unvaccinated.
Do not attend classes if you have Covid-19 symptoms, or have been told to self-isolate or to quarantine.
